COOKING CAMP

Dates:

Summer Treats: Join us as we celebrate summer by making cool treats to beat the heat!

Around the World: Come join us as we take our kitchens for an adventure around the world. Each day we will explore a new, exciting culture through cooking.  Your passport will be full after this international adventure!

Dessert: Come and make sweet treats with this dessert-themed cooking camp! Every day we will explore a different delight so bring your sweet tooth and be ready to dig in!

(All camps must have a minimum of 10 participants and a maximum of 25) 

 

ART CAMP

Dates:

Time: Monday-Wednesday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, Thursday 9:00 am-3:00pm

Description: In this camp we will focus on reading as well as art.  We will start each day with a book and all of the art projects will go along with that book.  We will do a variety of 2D and 3D art including: clay, paper mâché, wire sculpture, weaving, folded paper and painting. The registration fee includes a t-shirt, snacks and lunch on Thursday.

Must have at least 10 signed up with a maximum of 20.

BRIGHT BRAINS, LLC CAMP

Dates:

Session 1 Description:

Morning Camp: Cinema Summer!
Interested in learning new techniques to make movies using apps and websites? Try your hand at claymation, photographic, and live action movies. Explore all of the steps that Hollywood producers go through from “Action” to “That’s a Wrap!” This week’s focus is on creativity, cooperation, and fun while exploring animation and special effects.

Afternoon Camp: Brain Boosters, Breakouts, and a Big Escape, Oh My! Come challenge your brain this summer as you delve into Brain Boosters, Breakouts, and a Big Escape!  Interact with a variety of puzzles, problems, and pursuits to perfect your logical thinking strategies and skills! “Breakout” of the ordinary as you engage in critical thinking to open a locked box in a Breakout EDU game. Try your hand at creating a digital Breakout to see if you can stump your friends.  Finally, put all your skills to the ultimate test as you attempt to break out of an authentic Escape Room!

Session 2 Description:

Morning Camp: Bibliomania: Reading and Projects Galore! Join us for a week of exciting, integrated learning activities as we explore different types of literature!  This week is geared towards engaging readers in finding excitement by exploring literature and creating captivating projects.   No matter what type of reader you are, come indulge yourself in different genres through  crafts, writing, games, and more.

Camp Options for 6th-8th Graders For BOTH Sessions:

Try your hand at creating a digital Breakout to see if you can stump your friends.  Finally, put all your skills to the ultimate test as you attempt to break out of an authentic Escape Room!

Afternoon Camp:  Lights! Camera!! Action!!! Have you ever wanted to learn more about green screen, movie making, and YouTube? Or investigate how to  create claymation, photographic, and live action movies? Then this is the camp for you! During this week, you will explore various filmmaking techniques.   Writing, technology, and teamwork will combine to develop your storytelling repertoire and inspire creative thinking! Join us to design and produce a different movie each day!!

INDOOR/OUTDOOR SOCCER CAMP

Dates:

Description: Players will learn the very basics of soccer in a fun and enjoyable environment. Small games and easy drills will help teach the kids how to kick, trap, while enforcing the use of “no hands”!!! Tennis shoes ONLY.  Shin guards a must!  Please bring water or sports drink each day.  In order for this camp to make, there must be at least 10 participants registered with a maximum of 15.

 

BASKETBALL CAMP

CHEER CAMP

Description: This camp is designed to teach cheer techniques & skills to young individuals in the areas of cheer, & some tumbling. This is a basic cheer camp for beginners. Teamwork, team-building, strength & endurance skills will be taught for the development of each participant.

Participants need to bring a bag lunch & drink each day.  Participants must wear comfortable non-restrictive clothing and tennis shoes. NO sandals or flip-flops are allowed.  In order for this camp to make, there must be at least 10 participants registered, with a maximum of 20.

 

SOFTBALL CAMP

Description: In conjunction with Winterville Parks and Recreation, this softball camp for fast pitch is for beginners, intermediate and advanced participants.  During camp you will be able to help improve basic skills and fundamentals of softball. Work on hitting, catching, fielding the ball, and sliding (fast pitch only).  Minimum of 10 participants with a maximum of 20.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP

Description: Campers will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of volleyball; including serving, passing, setting, hitting and more. Must have a minimum of 10 campers and a maximum of 20.

TRACK & FIELD CAMP

Description: This camp is an intro to track and field events. During camp participants will try their hand at different event areas: Shot Put & Discus Throw, Long, Broad, and High jumps, Sprints, and introduction to Hurdles, and relays. This camp In order for this camp to make, there must be at least 10 participants registered, with a maximum of 20.

VARIETY SPORTS  & ADVENTURE CAMP

Dates:
– Session 1: July 8-11 — Register by June 25th
– Session 2: July 29- August 1 — Register by July 16th

Ages: 8 – 12
Time: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Description: This all-inclusive sports camp will cover all types of sports. Some of the activities and sports that may be covered are basketball, wiffleball, flag football, soccer; volleyball, yard games, bowling, track and field events, and even swimming are all included. Participants must wear comfortable nonrestrictive clothing and tennis shoes. NO sandals or flip-flops are allowed.  Participants should bring a mid-morning snack, bag lunch & drink each day.  Possible field trips if applicable. In order for this camp to make, there must be at least 10 participants registered, with a maximum of 20.

Description:  The Junior Basketball camp will teach the  basketball fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting.  Campers will play modified games and learn the basics of team play.  We will use smaller basketballs and lower goals.  In order for this camp to make, there must be at least 10 participants registered, with a maximum of 30.   

Racket Skills & Floor Hockey Camp

Description: The racket skills and floor hockey camp will be split into two days.  Campers will learn how to play racket games indoors such as pickle ball, floor ping pong and badminton.  for the first two days.  The second two days will be focused on teaching the fundamentals of indoor floor hockey with foam hockey sticks.  In order for this camp to make, there must be at least 10 participants registered, with a maximum of 30.
