Overview

Community Schools and Recreation is the lead agency for the Local Senior Games. Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games is sanctioned annually by NC. Senior Games through an application and sanctioning process. This program includes recreational and athletic competition for people 50 and better. Events include track and field, basketball, swimming, badminton, softball, SilverArts, and many more events.

Local Games are held over a two-week period of time in the spring of each year. Medals are awarded and winners qualify for the NC. Senior Games State Finals competition, which is held in the fall of each year. Winners on the state level qualify for National Games that are held every two years. Practice sessions and special events are held throughout the year. Greenville-Pitt County Senior Games has hosted the NC. Senior Games State Finals 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for the past twenty years. A minimal fee is charged.
